To generate a steady drumbeat of media coverage surrounding the PGA TOUR’s return to Western New York with the LECOM Health Challenge.
The tournament’s host committee – the Chautauqua County Regional Economic Corporation (CREDC) – brought on The Martin Group to oversee all public relations and social media strategy development and execution. The inaugural year of the LECOM Health Challenge was a complete success. Not only did media outreach efforts surrounding the tournament generate 340 stories and more than 535 million impressions, but the tournament beat out six other first-year tournaments for the prestigious “Rookie of the Year Award” from the PGA TOUR.
