What We’re Thankful For

It’s been a great year at The Martin Group, from announcing our new home at 620 Main St. to the announcement as Buffalo Business First’s 2nd Fastest Growing Company and the 2016 Fast Track Awards, we have A LOT to be thankful for this year. Without our talented TMG groupies and collaborative and creative clients, TMG would not be able to accomplish all that it does everyday.

In honor of Thanksgiving, we feel it’s appropriate to list what each of our teammates are thankful for:

I’m most thankful for having Robin and Krista working with me in the media department.  Both are media super stars and very talented in everything they do. Plus they are a heck of a lot of fun…..we laugh all day over here at the annex!

I’m thankful for my health so I can be there for loved ones who need me. This past year, I started calling my dad twice a day to check in on him. It’s brought us closer and given me 730 chances to tell him I love him—far more than I ever told him before.

Recently, my older sister Ellen moved to Minnesota. With her being gone, it’s reminded me of how lucky and thankful I am to have her, and my younger sister Colleen, in my life. I’m even more thankful to my parents for putting up with 3 girls so close in age all these years…especially when we were teenagers!

I am thankful that so many members of the local media provided coverage this week for JustTellOne.org, a very important public awareness campaign to help those suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, alcohol abuse, or substance abuse, in particular young people. I am especially thankful that the car that came racing up behind me on the 33 Monday night while traffic was stopped in the center lane somehow managed to swerve left and avoid slamming into me. I have a feeling I would be eating my turkey dinner in a hospital (or worse) if he hadn’t done so. And of course I am always thankful for my family and friends, my health, and my colleagues and clients at work. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and peace.
