Social Media Coordinator

Full-Time Position (Buffalo office)

About The Role:

As a Social Media Coordinator, you will support the development and execution of social media strategies across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and channel growth. This role involves creating and scheduling content, monitoring social media channels, and collaborating with our in-house teams for additional asset creation.

You will succeed in this role if you’re passionate about social media, deliver what is promised to internal and external contacts, demonstrate creativity in providing solutions, and are committed to your growth through ongoing education and personal development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation, curation, and scheduling of daily content (text, images, video) for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others
  • Conceptualize content ideas for client’s social media channels
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posts
  • Support the Digital Marketing Managers and Social Media Managers in various administrative tasks and projects
  • Support our influencer marketing program through research and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure a cohesive social media presence
  • Recommend paid social media opportunities when applicable, collaborating with our in-house media team
  • Assist in the development of social media campaigns and promotions
  • Monitor and respond to user comments and messages promptly and professionally
  • Track and analyze key social media metrics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Research current social media trends and audience preferences

Required skills include:

  • Builds strong, trusting relationships with clients by being their advocate, problem-solver and providing proactive thinking
  • Works well collaborating and taking direction from members of the digital team and other departments
  • Communicates effectively in person, via email, and via the telephone with both the client and the agency’s digital team on specific projects
  • Understanding of social media metrics and gauge performance
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Experience:

  • One to three years of experience in the social media space
  • Experience managing social media channels for brands
  • Actively maintains personal social media channels
  • Experience working in native social media platforms and third-party management tools
  • Experience in social media content creation, which may include:
    • Copywriting
    • Video Editing
    • Graphic Design
    • Photo editing
  • Experience working with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok
  • Agency experience a plus

Salary Range: $40,000 – $55,000/yr
