Created as a fundraiser for the National Women’s Hall of Fame, the first Women’s Right to Run 19K will take place on Mother’s Day Weekend in 2016. When Menzo Case, President & CEO of event organizing sponsor and TMG client Generations Bank, brought us the opportunity to work on the 19K, we were honored to run with it. Impressed with the thinking that went into the 19K race (inspired by the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote), we built our creative around it. Our logo depicts a strong, athletic woman/runner breaking out of a box. Closer examination reveals that she is also a “checkmark,” further symbolizing voting rights. Posters we designed utilize historical Library of Congress women’s suffrage photography blended with modern imagery to dramatically illustrate the philosophical progress society has made. TMG Rochester also created banners and other collateral and will develop the website.
