3,652 days. 120 months. 10 years.
That’s an era—or the same span of time needed for a CNN or VH1 television series. It’s a significant number of elapsed hours, but the real impact of the time always comes back to its start, and the foundation that enabled what stands today.
Just ask someone who’s occupied our Rochester-area office since its opening in 2014.
“[The office] was founded on humble beginnings, and there was a real sense of starting something from the ground up,” says Associate Creative Director Andrea Elliott. “It had this tight-knit, scrappy feel, where everyone pitched in to make things happen, no matter how big or small the task. We were all wearing multiple hats, collaborating closely, and truly building something together. There was a sense of ownership and pride in what we were creating, and that shared sense of purpose really brought the team closer.”
Today, this camaraderie amid skill and award-winning service has built a truly special place. Nestled above East Main Street in the idyllic suburban enclave of Victor, our team has grown. Our client list has expanded, and our connection to another corner of Western New York has deepened.
But still driving the vibe of the locale into its 11th year is that initial connection between colleagues and their collaborative goal in making the office—and the work to come out of it—their own.
To acknowledge the recently eclipsed decade since the establishment of The Martin Group in Rochester, we asked some of our on-site team members why they love (and have loved) our Flower City space. Here’s what they said:
“Here, I’m given the freedom to do my job without micromanagement, knowing that my work is valued. There’s a genuine respect for work-life balance, allowing us to thrive both professionally and personally. This level of trust and flexibility creates a positive, motivating environment where we can do our best work.”

Senior Production Designer
“When you walk through the Rochester doors, there’s a warm, cozy feeling, like there should be a fire going in the fireplace and the smell of fresh-baked cookies in the oven—which is not far from reality with our yule log on the big screen TV and, oftentimes, fresh-baked treats on the kitchen counter.”
Joe Sawyko
Senior Production Designer
“Our space is an extension of The Martin Group vibe and mission, rather than being a space that some of our employees simply occupy. It’s a collaborative space that’s filled to meet our needs, and everyone respects and takes care of it like it’s our home.”
Bayley Ward
Senior Account Manager
“I’ve been here for eight years, and throughout that time, I’ve found the ROC staff to be the most genuine and hardworking people I have ever worked with. We celebrate the joys and the losses in our lives together; and workwise, we’re unstoppable. This shows in our client relationships.”
Gail Sklair
Senior Production Designer
“Everyone here cares about each other both inside and outside of work. That’s a comforting feeling to know we’re spending 40 hours a week with people that want to be here, want to be part of the TMG fam, and value being a part of your life.”
Madeline Rickett
PR Specialist
“It’s not just about getting the job done—it’s about enjoying the journey together. That sense of connection makes working here feel unique and much more like a team, not just a group of coworkers.”
Andrea Elliott
Associate Creative Director
Thanks to everyone who’s made the office and our work what it is today, and cheers to many more years in the ROC.
